About the role We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Technology Solution Architect to join our Technology Strategy, Architecture & Value Realisation team. In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for designing and guiding solution architectures that align with SA Water’s enterprise and domain frameworks, with specific expertise in Operational Technology in the utility and/or allied sectors, that will support effective delivery of our technology strategy. You will work closely with stakeholders across Technology Delivery, Architecture Governance, and Business Groups to define and realise robust, future-focused solutions. Your contribution will help shape the digital landscape that supports the delivery of sustainable and trusted water services for South Australians. Key responsibilities include Design and deliver solution architectures aligned with SA Water’s enterprise and domain frameworksLead the development of solution designs including application and data flows, deployment models, and technology selectionsCollaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate options, and recommend fit-for-purpose solutionsDocument architectural decisions, risks, and technical debt, ensuring they are traceable and governed through appropriate processesMaintain solution documentation within the organisation’s architecture repository and ensure governance endorsement where requiredOversee solution delivery to ensure alignment with the intended architecture and manage changes as neededContribute to business case development and support portfolio planning and lifecycle managementParticipate in software and services procurement, representing architectural requirements and outcomesSupport the development and implementation of technical standards in collaboration with delivery teams Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Strong knowledge of architecture disciplines, frameworks, and governance, with the ability to link architecture to business needs; skilled in architectural methodologies, tools, and notationsExperience designing complex, multi-component technology solutions and guiding delivery teamsExperience in design and implementation of solutions within the Operational Technology domain.Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience across multiple roles in the Software Development Lifecycle (Desirable)Knowledge and experience with architecture patterns and blueprints such as Model View Controller, Service-Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Application Integration, Enterprise Service Bus, and Enterprise Data Warehouse (Desirable)The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certification and experience with ArchiMate modelling (Desirable) To apply, click 'Apply'.
