The Role Working as part of the Civil Works team, this role encompasses capital works and maintenance works for the City of Mitcham. The position holder will work across all aspects of the Civil Works team to ensure work outcomes and pre-determined work standards are met and that cost competitiveness is maintained. About You • Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate; • MR Truck Licence; • Experience in civil works and driving MR/HR trucks. • Experience with civil construction and maintenance including Excavation, Preparation, Paving and Stormwater. • A comprehensive knowledge of safe and efficient work practices particularly as presented in Council’s Standard Operating Procedures essential; • Basic understanding of maths, plan reading, quantity estimation and civil principles; • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines.
