We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced ECT – Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent with ACECQA approval – Full VIT Registration (Level 2 or above) to join our busy 3–5-year-old room of up to 30 children. About the role Part-time - 27 hours per week (including planning time) Hours: Monday–Thursday 9am–3pm, Friday 9am–5pm Start Date: ASAP End Date: End of April 2026 (potential to become permanent) Pay: Worker Retention Grant approved centre therefore current hourly rate is 10% above Award rate with a further 5% increase in December 2025. Hourly rate negotiable accordingly to level and experience Key Responsibilities Deliver programming that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards, with a strong commitment to best practice Collaborate with families to extend learning outcomes Lead, mentor and support a team of three educators, including a second kinder teacher and a Cert III educator Foster a stimulating, safe, and welcoming learning environment Engage in continuous personal and professional development Plan and host biannual parent-teacher interviews and an annual information evening for families Use School Readiness Funding strategically to meet curriculum and community need Ensure all activities are well-planned, engaging, and developmentally appropriate Essential Attributes & Skills Deep understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards Current knowledge and understanding of the Child Safe Standards (CCYP) Extensive experience planning and delivering programs for 3–5-year-olds Excellent communication and collaboration skills Professional, mature, and reflective approach to teaching Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and presentation Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (No Graduate Diplomas – applications will not be considered) Current VIT Registration (Victorian Institute of Teaching) Up-to-date certifications: Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
