We host 5 programs and over 40 events each year, such as Go Girl, Go for IT, Whats Hot in Tech, and the Grad Girls Program to inspire young minds and foster diversity in STEM. About the Grad Girls Program The Grad Girls Program is a flagship initiative of Women 4 STEM, designed to inspire and empower female students to explore careers in STEM. The program features engaging workshops, interactive careers expo, panel discussions, and webinars, culminating in impactful events. Across the 9-month Program, participants connect with STEM professionals, gain hands-on experience, and envision themselves in STEM careers Role Overview The Mentor Coordinator is responsible for leading the mentoring stream of the Grad Girls Program. You will manage the mentor matching process, coordinate up to 20 mentors, hosting 6 group mentoring sessions (primarily virtually), and ensure both mentors and participants are supported throughout the program. Youll also provide mentors with resources, including the Mentor Guide, and act as the main point of contact for queries or concerns. The role requires close collaboration with Discord Coordinators to ensure participants are informed, reminders are shared, and feedback is captured. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about mentoring and professional development. Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in community management, expand their networks, receive hands-on exposure and mentoring, and enjoy perks such as discounted tickets to Women 4 STEM events. Responsibilities include: Coordinate the group mentor matching process of up to 20 mentors, with 15 participants per mentoring group, ensuring balanced and effective groupings Assist mentors to plan and deliver 6 group mentoring sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with participants (via Discord Coordinators) Provide mentors with resources and updates, including developing and distributing the Mentor Guide Act as the primary point of contact for mentors, ensuring they are supported and have clear expectations Serve as an escalation pathway for any concerns raised by mentors or participants Liaise with Discord Coordinators to share mentoring session reminders, FAQs, and updates with students Monitor participation and attendance, ensuring participants remain on track with graduation criteria Work with Data Analysts to seek feedback from both mentors and participants to improve the stream Provide Program 2IC with monthly reporting, summarising recent activities, challenges, and recommendations to improve participant experience Who are we looking for? Experience in mentoring, coaching, or professional development programs (preferred but not essential) Exceptional communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience working across diverse teams and stakeholders Organised and proactive, with attention to detail in managing multiple communications and responsibilities Friendly and approachable, with ability to problem solve when engagement drops or issues arise Reliable and enthusiastic, with a student-focused approach Experience with Slack, Zoom, Teams and Google Meet is an advantage (not essential) A passion for gender equality and supporting diversity in STEM education What is the commitment?
