Job summary: Flexible hours available 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $38 - $45 per hour SOS Personnel is seeking experienced Pipelayers to become an integral part of our client’s operations. Key Responsibilities: Install and lay SA Water mains, sewer, and stormwater pipes following project plans and specifications. Ensure correct depth of trench and alignment for pipe installation. Perform pipe connections, including setting valves, tees, and fittings. Assist with site grading and backfilling after pipe installation. Work closely with excavators and other earthmoving equipment. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a civil pipelayer. Knowledge of various types of pipes and installation techniques. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans. Experience operating construction equipment e.g., excavators is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong work ethic. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work outdoors in various conditions. Commitment to safety and ability to follow safety protocols. Valid driver’s license.
