As a Senior Financial Accountant at Ubank, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing financial statements, leading reconciliations and contributing to the overall excellence of our finance operations. This role reports directly to the Head of Finance Operations. How You Will Spend Your Time Play a lead role in the preparation of month end, ensuring deliverables are achieved as per Group timeline Lead balance sheet reconciliations, providing analysis of discrepancies and ensuring corrective actions are undertaken in a timely manner Manage project related accounting and ensure compliance with accounting standards Provide insight into monthly profit and loss movements and assist with P&L analysis Assist with quarter end reporting to Group and ensure all submissions are delivered as per Group timetable Assist with the preparation of the annual financial statements and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards Provide support to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial records Ensure that finance is aligned with industry related regulations at all times Develop and maintain tax controls and tax working papers Provide project related support to the Finance manager and the Head of Finance Operations as required What You Will Bring CA or CPA qualifications, or their equivalent Strong technical understanding of accounting standards and regulatory compliance Experience in banking and financial services Expertise in accounting principles and tax compliance Why Ubank?
