The Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) manages the human services responsibilities of the ACT Government. People who are assisted through the Directorate’s policies, services and programs include: People with disabilities and children and young people with developmental delays; Families, children and young people, including those who are at risk of neglect or abuse; Culturally and linguistically diverse groups, migrants and refugees; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; People in need of housing support and assistance, those at risk of, or who are experiencing homelessness; People experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence; LGBTIQA communities; Women, older people; and Community groups and organisations. The Deputy Director General, Community Services Office is looking for an Executive Officer with experience in social policy, strong government business and writing skills, excellent critical thinking and the ability to work flexibly and autonomously in a small team. The Executive Officer is a critical first point of contact for the office by other executives, ministerial offices and the community sector.
