How you create impact The Business Development Manager is responsible to identify and generate new business opportunities for Project Logistics. They have a deep understanding of the Project Logistics market, service offerings and operational requirements. They spend most of the time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business and working hand in hand with Pricing and Customer Excellence Teams. They do personally own an account portfolio and seek to grow the Gross Profit for Project Logistics activities and accounts year on year CRM (CoreLog) to maintain and update customer information, report customer complaints to the Customer Excellence Team and perform related CRM tasks. Generate and maintain own account and project pipeline based on a defined geographic market and/or customer base. Identify and cooperate with stakeholders to ensure that available solutions to offer to national customers are implemented and applicable Prioritize opportunities and assign teams to jointly develop these into firm awards. Coordinate tenders and bids to major potential customers including obtaining approval from relevant stakeholders. Organize regular communication and meetings within Key Account Management Team, but also the other Development Functions. Leadership Responsibility Setting standards for CRM tool usage, Compliance and HSE related matters. Fostering a collaborative environment between all Project Logistics Development Functions, Operations, Technology, Geographic and Technical Leadership. Identify key countries/markets for assigned customer and assist building global development/account management teams. Closely aligning strategic direction and team goals with the National Project Logistics Manager and/or Business Development Manager. Financial Responsibility Gross Profit year on year growth. Gross Profit maintenance for applicable accounts. Align and cooperate on margin setting based on strategic initiatives and knowledge. What we would like you to bring Develop and implement strategic business plans to grow market share. Maintain a robust sales pipeline and achieve assigned sales targets. Conduct market research and infrastructure surveys as needed. Present clear value propositions leveraging company strengths. Lead customer onboarding, SOP/KPI implementation, and quarterly business reviews. Ensure operational requirements and customer expectations are clearly communicated internally. Build strong networks with external stakeholders (clients, partners, regulators). Collaborate effectively with internal teams across operations, sales, and management. Minimum 5 years of business development experience in freight forwarding or logistics. Proven track record in sectors like Oil & Gas, Energy, or Renewables. Strong understanding of project logistics and supply chain solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
