We are seeking an Accountant to support our growing client base and internal operations. This role is integral to delivering accounting and compliance services to high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction. Your key duties include : Prepare and lodge taxation returns and related reports including BAS, GST, PAYG, FBT, Payroll Tax, and ensure ongoing compliance with ATO requirements. Reconcile accounts, monitor cash flow, and validate financial data for accuracy and compliance. Provide taxation compliance services to clients, including income tax, GST, and FBT, and assist with corporate tax returns, trust accounting, and partnership accounting. Maintain records in Xero and produce supporting work papers, documentation, and client advisory outputs. Identify and implement process improvements and best practices in accounting workflows. Process payroll, maintain general ledgers, and ensure compliance with relevant taxation and employment legislation. Liaise with clients to understand their accounting requirements and maintain professional relationships. Conduct financial analysis and investigations, providing accurate advice to support business decision-making. Education & Experience : Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field Minimum 3 years post qualification experience as a Business Services Accountant Membership or eligibility for membership with a recognised accounting body (CPA Australia, CA ANZ) is highly regarded Technical Skills : Proficiency in Xero Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance Excellent analytical, problem solving and attention to detail skills Strong communication skills and client-facing experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with financial and data analysis tools A salary between $77,000 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
