Job Description Job description The Business Development Manager (BDM) will represent the entire range of ELMO Products to our potential new customers. As a BDM you will be responsible for generating, developing and growing new business opportunities for our extensive suite of HR & Payroll software solutions and will manage the entire sales process from initial discovery through to closing the deal. Key responsibilities include: Developing clear strategies for value generation and achieving targets. Demonstrating initiative in identifying value generation opportunities in the mid-market space across VIC. Maintaining documentation and data hygiene around lead generation, follow-up, and execution of opportunities in Salesforce CRM. Being prepared to have a flexible approach to pitch delivery modes (e.g., both virtual or in person discovery and demos) and being able to identify which module is appropriate and most relevant for each individual opportunity. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing team to support marketing initiatives as required. Providing feedback from clients to continually improve the ELMO solution and packaging for relevance to potential clients. Strategically consulting with key client stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of their required organizational outcomes. Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with key client contacts. Desired Skills and Experience Skills and Experience At least 5 years of experience in achieving targets in B2B software sales to clients with approximately 100-2,000 employees. 5 years of demonstrated sales experience, ideally within the technology industry, preferably HR/Payroll technology. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to suit a wide range of people and contexts. Ability to navigate and to prospect for new business via relevant channels. Strong understanding of the software/technology sales cycle. Extremely motivated, self-starter with drive and ambition to succeed and hit their goals!
