Guzman y Gomez (GYG) is on the lookout for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team! As our Commercial Finance Analyst, you’ll provide critical commercial insights and financial analysis to support operations, people experience, and supply chain teams. You’ll help shape behaviours, improve efficiency, and drive optimal business outcomes — all while keeping our passion for great food at the heart of every decision. What You’ll Do Reporting & Analysis Deliver regular business metrics reporting that aligns with financial forecasts. Prepare and distribute restaurant P&L reports, ensuring all key underlying metrics are included. Support weekly and monthly reporting cycles, providing timely insights to stakeholders. Analyse restaurant performance to identify trends, profitability drivers, and opportunities to improve food outcomes. Translate complex financial data into clear and actionable insights for decision-making. Modelling and Insights Maintain and continuously improve financial models, budget tracking tools, and processes. Conduct data-driven deep dives to provide timely and actionable insights to the business. Enhance forecasting accuracy through model improvements and proactive scenario planning. Automate ongoing reporting processes, including key inputs into the GYG restaurant model. Develop analytical tools and methodologies that support decision-making and business performance. Systems & Business Partnering Act as the first point of contact for commercial queries, providing clear and practical guidance. Partner with business stakeholders to define and deliver information that supports growth. Ensure accuracy and integrity of commercial data across systems. Collaborate on management reporting and provide support for ad hoc commercial projects. Leverage Excel, Power Query, VBA, and other tools to streamline reporting, automate processes, and improve accessibility of insights. What You’ll Bring 3–5 years’ experience in a fast-paced finance environment (QSR or FMCG experience advantageous). CPA, CA, or CIMA qualified (or working towards). Strong commercial acumen, P&L understanding, and ability to analyse large volumes of data. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Query skills (SQL, VBA, OLAP experience preferred). Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
