The business has a clear long-term life of mine plan and requires an experienced approvals professional to help deliver expansion, compliance, and heritage outcomes. About the Role Reporting to the Approvals & Community Superintendent, the Senior Approvals Advisor will play a pivotal role in managing approvals processes, cultural heritage, and regulatory compliance. The role blends coordination, report review, consultant management, and direct engagement with Traditional Owners, regulators, and internal stakeholders. This is a drive-in drive-out role from the Townsville region (or surrounds), with flexible roster options of 4 on 3 off, 8 on 6 off, or a hybrid combination . Key Responsibilities Coordinate and critically review consultant reports supporting approval applications. Manage applications for Environmental Authorities, Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plans (PRCP), and Environmental Rehabilitation and Closure (ERC). Oversee cultural heritage obligations, including Traditional Owner engagement, surveys, and compliance with Native Title and RAP commitments. Manage non-Indigenous heritage obligations including agreements, monitoring, and reporting. Liaise with regulators and contribute to high-level submissions and responses. Support environmental compliance, disturbance permitting, and sustainability reporting. About You Strong background in mining approvals and heritage management. Skilled in critically reviewing technical and consultant reports. Organised and methodical, with the ability to structure and prioritise workloads effectively. Confident in engaging with regulators, Traditional Owners, and internal teams. Able to balance task-focus with collaborative, team-oriented culture. Why Apply?
