Head of Sales (Advertising & Partnerships) About the Role We're looking for a sales powerhouse to lead & build our advertising and partnerships division from the ground up. Over the last 12 months we have grown Pivotal Conversations to be the preferred production partner of over 200 podcasts across three locations (Melbourne, Sydney & Gold Coast). Working closely with Australia's leading creators, podcasters and entrepreneurs helping them reach millions of people globally and build engaged communities with a video first approach. Advertising is evolving. Our vision is to build a monetisation engine that backs creators shaping tomorrow's culture by connecting creators with brands where culture meets relevance, using a video-first approach that drives meaningful campaigns while maintaining audience trust. In this role, you'll be the mastermind behind our advertising partnerships, driving revenue growth and brand collaborations for our creators. Your objective is to build a service that connects the right brands with the right audiences, tracks campaign performance and turns advertising budgets into campaigns creators, brands and audiences become obsessed with. What You'll Do: Build and Lead Our Sales & Partnerships Division: Build our advertising and partnerships division from the ground up Hire and onboard the right people to create a powerhouse sales team Create systems that work and scale as we expand Build long lasting client relationships Own Revenue Generation: Be the main driver of new business development and partnership deals Focus on growing advertising revenue and partnership opportunities Report on sales performance and turn data into actionable revenue strategies Collaborate With Creators: Work directly with our creators to unlock monetisation opportunities Help creators understand their value proposition and audience appeal to potential advertisers Develop custom partnership opportunities that align with each creator's brand and audience Coach creators on how to authentically integrate sponsors while maintaining audience trust and engagement Lead the strategic direction for all advertising partnerships and sponsorship deals Guide partnerships from initial outreach to long-term collaboration Stay ahead of industry trends and advertising opportunities so our clients always win Manage Your Team: Build a team from the ground up and help them level up their sales skills Keep quality standards high across all client interactions Make sure everyone knows what great sales performance looks like Keep Pivotal Conversations at the Forefront of Podcast Advertising: Maintain alignment with the video-first, premium partnership vision Manage the sales pipeline from start to finish Ensure revenue targets are met and partnerships thrive Streamline processes so the team can focus on closing high-value deals What You'll Need: Sales Mastery: Exceptional sales skills with the ability to manage multiple complex deals and partnerships Self-Sufficiency: Proven ability to work independently and drive results Owner/Founder Mentality: You will be building a business, you need to embrace the founder mentality Partnership Strategy Expertise: Strong background in developing innovative partnership strategies that drive revenue growth and brand alignment Leadership Experience: Track record of hiring, managing, and mentoring high-performing sales teams Revenue Focus: Deep understanding of sales metrics, analytics, and growth strategies across advertising and partnerships Deal Excellence: Commitment to maintaining high standards for deal quality and client satisfaction Industry Expertise: Knowledge of podcast advertising, digital marketing, and brand partnerships Communication Pro: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to present strategies and close deals Cool Under Pressure: Thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Strategic Vision: Ability to see the big picture while managing day-to-day execution Agency Experience: 4 years in an agency or media sales environment Why Join Us?
