About the role: Lendlease ACT, are currently seeking a Construction Programmer to join our team in Canberra and support the delivery of a major, long-term project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing construction plans, schedules, and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and implement comprehensive construction methodologies, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives. Conduct constructability reviews to identify potential issues and optimise construction methods. Collaborate with project engineers and construction managers to understand project requirements and develop effective construction plans and schedules using Primavera P6. Analyse project progress, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project completion dates are met. Provide expert advice on construction planning, methods, and best practices to project teams, focusing on constructability and efficient project delivery. Monitor and report on project progress, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for improvement. Requirements for the role: To be an Australian Citizen at the time of application. A Government Security Clearance, or the ability to gain and maintain one. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in construction planning, preferably in large-scale building or defence projects. Proven experience in developing and managing construction plans and schedules using Primavera P6. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, including critical path method (CPM) scheduling, lean construction principles, and constructability reviews. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising multiple tasks and deadlines. Desirable Skills: Experience working on high-security facilities, such as government buildings, military bases, or sensitive infrastructure projects. Knowledge of security protocols and procedures for working on sensitive projects. Experience with other project management software, such as Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse/Risk. Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
