We are financially secure. Unidata is a wholly owned subsidiary of Earth Sciences New Zealand (ESNZ), the New Zealand Government's national earth science research organisation (like the CSIRO in Australia). Unidata Neon systems are in use in government and industry in Western Australia and internationally. We are involved with complex interesting projects improving the environment. Our customers and reseller partners are worldwide, and more than 50% of our revenue is from global markets. There is good opportunity to take a senior management leadership position as this successful company continues to grow. The incumbent General Manager is soon to retire. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced applicant to take up the leadership of Unidata. We envisage a short handover period with the current general manager for a smooth and successful transition. The position reports into the ESNZ GM of Digital and Innovation The Position: Based in O'Connor, as General Manager you will have primary responsibility for the company, leading: sales and marketing, maintaining budgeted profit and loss, coordinating hardware and software development, applying good product management direction and processes, overseeing the production and inventory, software and hardware engineering, quality management, health and safety, QA OHSE and quality system auditing systems, people and culture, and The Skills and Experience: To be successful in this role you will bring senior management experience in a technology business with a strong working knowledge of electronics and IT, including IP networking and Microsoft. Your ability to lead and manage staff will foster a positive and stable workplace culture with a strong ethic to deliver results. Your acumen for financial management will be advantageous, as will a proven ability to achieve success through sales and marketing. A degree in a relevant technical field and proven management experience in electronics manufacturing, instrumentation, or related technology sectors are essential.
