Based in the Eastern Suburbs of Perth, our client seeks a Mechanical Fitter to work in their manufacturing business. On offer is a temp to perm role, offering secure employment with a respected industry leader. The role is based in their Bassendean facility with adhoc product support to the Pilbara region assisting with delivery of new equipment and warranty repairs About the client: The company specialises in manufacturing and modifying vehicles for the mining space About the Role: As part of the Assembly team, you will be involved in the fit out of both refurbished and new equipment, assembly parts and components. The ideal candidate will: Perform mechanical fitting tasks such as assembly, installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of heavy equipment Read hydraulic circuits and fabricate hoses as required Collaborate on the fit out and assembly of new equipment in accordance with specifications Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions to ensure equipment functionality Work effectively within a team to maintain efficient workflow Produce high-quality work within set timeframes and meet production demands with attention to detail and efficiency. About you: Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience in interpreting technical drawings A passion for learning, following instructions, and adhering to processes Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Excellent time management skills A proactive attitude toward safety, quality, and cleanliness Experience in a similar industry will be highly regarded Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate (Australian recognised) (essential for this role) Confined Space Entry / Gas Test Atmosphere (must be obtained before employment) Working at Heights (must be obtained before employment) Forklift License Overhead Crane / Dogging certification Elevated Working Platform certification You will have the highest regard for safety in the workplace. You will be required to pass drug and alcohol testing, random drug and alcohol testing will also be carried out on site.
