Our client's Property team is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their market-leading Brisbane practice to capitalise on these exciting opportunities. Key Responsibilities Advise clients on complex commercial property acquisitions, disposals, and developments Draft and negotiate commercial leases for major retail, office, and industrial developments Manage property aspects of corporate transactions including due diligence and settlement Provide strategic advice on property development projects from planning through to completion Handle property finance transactions including mortgages, security documentation, and facility agreements Advise on retail leasing matters and shopping centre transactions Coordinate property aspects of funds management and investment transactions Provide regulatory advice on planning law, strata title, and property-related compliance matters Lead property due diligence on acquisitions and investment transactions Manage relationships with property consultants, surveyors, and other professional advisers Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team knowledge development Support business development activities and client relationship management Senior Associate Role Expectations You will be expected to: Provide expert advice on complex commercial property matters with minimal supervision Take day-to-day responsibility for property transactions with direct client contact Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in managing multi-faceted property deals Show commercial acumen in structuring property transactions and identifying risks Communicate effectively with property developers, investors, and corporate clients Build and maintain relationships with key players in Queensland's property market Proactively identify cross-selling opportunities across the firm's service lines Understand property market trends and regulatory developments affecting clients Lead negotiations with counterparties and their legal representatives Support team development and contribute to a collaborative work environment About the Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has: 5-8 years' experience in commercial property law, preferably with a top-tier firm Strong experience across property acquisitions, developments, and commercial leasing Excellent knowledge of Queensland property law, planning regulations, and compliance requirements Experience with retail leasing, property finance, and property funds transactions Understanding of property development processes and construction law principles Outstanding drafting and negotiation skills with commercial approach to transactions Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple complex property matters Proactive approach with genuine interest in property market developments Client relationship skills and desire to build networks in the property industry Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Highly Regarded: Experience with large-scale commercial developments or infrastructure projects Property funds management and investment transaction experience Cross-border property transaction exposure Professional development in planning and environment law Experience with government and public sector property matters Why Apply?
