The Economics and Analysis Branch (EAB) enables policy analysis, program development and evaluation across the Home Affairs portfolio. Demonstrate well developed verbal and written communication skills, including being able to tailor to any audience. The key duties of the position include Draft economic briefs, submissions and reports to enhance the Department's strategic agenda and understanding of economic and data trends. Monitor economic trends and qualitative and quantitative research, and communicate relevant information with branch colleagues. Organise workflow for the Chief Economist and potentially other branch Directors. Monitor incoming correspondence for the Chief Economist, and liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met. Assist in branch coordination tasks and general administration, and help to establish, track and manage clearance processes.
