The key duties of the position include The Role An APS 5 ICT Support Engineer will perform and achieve moderately complex ICT support engineering under routine direction. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks and Defence policies, managing workflows, and improving work quality through feedback and on-the-job training. Effective stakeholder engagement is essential, with responsibilities including identifying and responding to issues and providing informed advice. Key responsibilities: Data processing using an Extract Transform Load (ETL) system or application Managing and supporting an existing team of technicians, troubleshooting and improving data synchronisation services Diagnosing and problem-solving data and application issues using SQL scripting and standard application troubleshooting techniques Supporting the Operations Manager with planning and scoping projects for clients Monitoring and triaging incoming helpdesk incidents Resolving incidents, focusing on customer service and client outcomes Reviewing and writing procedural documents of system improvements and new solutions Creating and updating directorate website content Providing on-call support on a scheduled rotation About our Team Joint Capabilities Group (JCG) was formed in July 2017 and has continued to evolve since its inception.
