What’s The Role: Our Innisfail depot is currently seeking a TUG driver with an MC licence to join the team. This role is ideally suited to an experienced MC Driver that still wants to be behind the wheel but also wishes to be home each night working Monday to Friday. A key role keeping our depot moving. Lindsay Transport is Australia’s largest fresh produce transporter, delivering temperature-sensitive freight to major markets and grocery distribution centers. We’re part of the Lindsay Group, a national leader in transport and logistics, connecting regional communities with key markets across Australia. Your main responsibilities will include: Driving the Tug around the depot to hook and unhook trailers. Reversing B-Doubles and Singles in the yard. Coordinating drivers within the yard. Refuelling fridge motors. Conducting necessary yard checks. Communicating effectively via 2-way radio. Conducting necessary paperwork as required. What You’ll Bring: A current MC drivers’ licence and experience in this licence class. TUG Driving Experience preferred however not necessary as training will be provided. Experience transporting chilled and frozen freight highly regarded. Experience checking and setting van temperatures. A commitment to workplace health and safety (essential). To be successful for this role applicants must; Pass a Commercial Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test. Provide a current traffic history report.
