About the Occupational Therapist - Acute / Trauma Care Role This position offers diverse exposure across orthopaedics, ICU, ED, cardiothoracics, and neurosurgery. You'll deliver high-quality, patient-centred occupational therapy within one of New Zealand's busiest trauma settings. Your role will include: Providing comprehensive OT assessment and intervention for patients with acute and multi-trauma presentations. Contributing to service growth and innovation within the trauma pathway. Rotational mentoring and access to a dedicated Clinical Educator for professional support. Supervising and guiding students, shaping the next generation of occupational therapists. Working closely within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver excellence in care. About You We're seeking an Occupational Therapist - Acute / Trauma Care who is both clinically sharp and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute environment. You will bring: New Zealand registration and current Annual Practising Certificate. Clinical experience in acute physical health (orthopaedics, neurology, ICU or trauma an advantage). Strong clinical reasoning and adaptability. Confidence working both autonomously and as part of an inter-professional team. A passion for mentoring, continuous learning, and service innovation.
