Job Description YOUR ROLE The Senior Project Manager, Finance is a pivotal role supporting the Digital Reimagination (DRI) Program at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools. This role will lead the Finance stream within Information Technology Services, delivering enterprise transformation across schools and the VCEA. It would suit an experienced project manager with strong finance systems expertise and stakeholder management skills. Desired Skills and Experience WHAT YOU WILL DO Lead the end-to-end of the Finance project using agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies Define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resources allocations to ensure project objectives are met Monitor progress against the project plan, managing multiple workstreams and proactively addressing risks and issues to keep the project on track. Maintain project governance structures, including Project Control Boards (PCB), Business Decision Authority (BDA), Change and key working groups to ensure effective oversight and decision making. Prepare and present regular status updates and reporting for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making. Build and maintain strong relationships with business units, cross-functional teams, IT teams, governance bodies, and external vendors to align on project outcomes and dependencies. ABOUT YOU Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex IT projects including Finance within scope, time, and budget constraints. Strong Knowledge of Finance technologies and systems (e.g. Oracle and SAP S4HANA) with a solid understanding of relevant standards, data governance, and compliance. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and third-party vendors in complex delivery environments using Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies. Demonstrated experience across all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, testing, implementation, and change management. Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and manage third-party vendors across complex delivery environments using Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies.
