This is an ongoing role situated within People Strategies Office. The People Strategies Office is responsible for providing efficient and effective human resources advice and services to support the Department of the House of Representatives. The Office provides advice and support to management and staff on policies and procedures. It also provides payroll services (for both departmental staff and Members of Parliament); administration of training and development; health, safety and rehabilitation case management; performance and conduct advice; employment relations and broad human resource initiatives. The key duties of the position include The duties of the Recruitment Adviser will: Coordinate and manage end to end recruitment and onboarding functions in a dynamic environment. Provide timely, effective, and efficient recruitment support and advice enabling services to stakeholders in line with legislative and policy requirements. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders to support best practice service delivery. Maintain accurate and timely records using the Aurion HR information system, databases, online recruitment systems, and other applications as required to manage recruitment activities. Administration if accurate documentation, including approved contracts of employment, extension notices, promotion, and transfers between agencies. Contribute to process innovation, change management, and modern ways of working. Work independently while maintaining regular communication with the Assistant Director Payroll and Recruitment. Support the delivery of people strategy initiatives and contribute to related projects, providing coordination and administrative assistance as required.
