Our company Bajgain Group Pty Ltd , T/As Moree Indian Restaurant (ABN: 76685218446) is seeking experienced chefs to work in our well-established, busy restaurant located at Moree, NSW with an immediate start on a full-time basis (38 Hours). We serve Indian and Nepalese cuisine to our customers Applications should be well presented, hard – working and with a great attitude, ready to join a dynamic and long-established Kitchen team. Excellent working conditions with great remuneration of AUD$75,000 to AUD $79,000 depending on your qualification and experience. Role responsibilities and requirements: Master various cooking techniques to prepare our signature dishes; Creating and modifying the menu as per customer feedback; Ensure compliance of environmental health and council requirements; Supervise, co-ordinate and train kitchen staff, as well as reviewing staff performance; Follow and monitor operating procedures, such as receiving and storage of stock, maintenance and cleaning of equipment; Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are met at all times; Ordering or managing stock, as well as monitor ingredient quality; Ensure high quality of food and presentation; Inspire staff to uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene; Menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control; Exceptional organizational and time management skills; A genuine passion for cooking, with a keen understanding of culinary techniques and trends; Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations; Qualifications and experience required: Experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen (minimum 1 years preferred). Experience with catering for special events and functions. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) Food Safety Supervisory Certification (preferred)
