ABOUT THE COMPANY We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected design consultancy with a strong national presence in landscape architecture and urban design. Known for their collaborative approach and commitment to design excellence, this firm delivers impactful public realm, urban renewal, infrastructure and community projects across Australia and the APAC region. With an energetic studio environment and a high-performing team in place, the business is now seeking a Principal Landscape Architect to join the practice at a strategic level and help shape the future of the business. ABOUT THE ROLE This role is ideal for an experienced Landscape Architect looking to step into a business leadership position. Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will take charge of the studio's operational performance, business development efforts, and team support. You'll play a key role in the strategic growth, winning new work, and providing high-level support across projects and client relationships. DUTIES Lead and manage studio operations including resource planning, performance, and team development. Drive business development through existing relationships, networking, and creative strategy. Manage/Contribute to bid submissions and fee proposals. Provide mentorship, guidance, and problem-solving support to project teams. Collaborate with internal leadership across studios on business strategy and planning. Strengthen client relationships and ensure delivery excellence across all phases of projects. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 10 years' experience in landscape architecture, urban design or masterplanning, including experience at a senior or associate level. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operations, and contribute to business growth. Proven experience winning and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects. Strong commercial understanding and the ability to think strategically. Skilled in client engagement, stakeholder management, and team leadership. A professional degree in Landscape Architecture (or related discipline) and AILA registration.
