About the role As an integral part of the Corporate Communications, Events and Advocacy team you will increase exposure and enhance the reputation of Federation University through coordinated internal and external communication activities. You will be a key contact for matters related to media and communications, working primarily on internal communications. You will: create and distribute engaging internal communications to staff across a range of delivery platforms; contribute collaboratively to a media and communications calendar ensuring the coordinated promotion of campaigns, announcements and events; build and maintain productive internal and external stakeholder/media relationships; and provide event support to the Strategic Communication Manager. About you You will have demonstrated media and communications experience which includes writing and editing media releases, news stories, EDMs, corporate document and digital content including spelling, grammar, punctuation, ‘plain English’, tone, and brand style. You will possess: organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collate material from several sources and produce a range of content within competing deadlines; ability to work as part of a team, build relationships and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders; experience in proactive and reactive media; and communication and presentation skills with some experience in social media, photography, and video production.
