Senior Lawyer (12-month temporary position) Apply your legal acumen to a range of policy issues to improve the lives and wellbeing of the people of NSW Advance your career by working with a highly skilled and motivated team in a small, independent agency Central Sydney location, with flexible working options About the role IPART’s legal team are looking for a motivated and capable lawyer to provide advice and other legal services to support our work regulating essential services like water and energy. You would be responsible for legal services for multiple important reviews affecting the lives of the people of NSW. You would advise on IPART’s legal powers and responsibilities, draft determinations and decisions, and explain complex legal requirements to a range of audiences. About you You should have a passion for good legal communication – presenting your analysis plainly and clearly, in a way that is technically accurate but accessible to your audiences. You should also be motivated to make a difference; to use your advanced legal skills in the public interest. You should have a combination of first class technical legal skills (especially in drafting and advice) and client relationship capabilities. Essential Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in law Eligible to hold a practising certificate in NSW The salary range for this role is $130,571- $139,769 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
