Purpose of the Role The Maintenance Technician ensures the reliability, performance, and longevity of audio-visual (AV) systems across meeting rooms, event spaces, and collaboration platforms. By performing preventative maintenance, testing, cleaning, and reporting, the role builds customer trust and confidence in the reliability of their technology. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of AV systems. Confirm all SLA-supported equipment is present, labelled, and operational. Test overall room functionality and equipment performance. Capture firmware/device data and maintain accurate reports. Clean equipment and ensure compliance with operational and safety standards. Provide before-and-after photos as part of maintenance reports. Submit reports to customers and copy Service Delivery Manager. Log unresolved faults with the Service Desk. Stay current on AV technologies, systems, and best practices. Requirements Certificate/Diploma in IT or related field (or equivalent experience). 2 years’ experience in AV maintenance/support. Strong knowledge of AV systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron, Poly, Zoom Rooms, MS Teams Rooms). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team.
