You’ll provide expert guidance and lead negotiations with recognised union and industry bodies as well as managing ER matters and IR disputes. You will be instrumental in helping us to shape our industrial relations strategy, ensuring compliance, and promoting a culture of fairness, inclusion and continuous improvement. Role Highlights As Senior IR/ER Specialist, you will meaningfully influence the relationships between employer, employees and unions with an aim to foster a productive and collaborative work environment. You won’t be doing this alone, you’ll join a tight-knit team who pride themselves on excellent service and delivery of effective solutions. In this diverse, hands-on role, your responsibilities will include: Lead bargaining campaigns and strategy development for multiple EA’s Lead the development and implementation of an Industrial Relations Strategy Manage employee relations and industrial disputes Provide coaching and support to senior managers and the People & Culture team Serve as key liaison with unions and industry representatives Advocate for Fremantle Ports at the Fair Work Commission Effectively manage Industrial action campaigns through strategic advice and consultation What Makes You a Great Fit You’re a confident communicator and skilled negotiator with proven ability to proactively problem-solve. Your collaborative approach and attention to detail allow you to thrive in dynamic environments, working with other teams to deliver outstanding results. You also bring: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations and/or relevant years of experience. Minimum 7 years’ experience working across a large portfolio as a Senior Industrial Relations Specialist. Proven experience in developing IR strategy and driving outcomes Expert knowledge of Australian employment law and IR frameworks. Demonstrated experience working in a unionised environment managing complex EA negotiations, disputes and ER matters. Extensive experience in preparing and advocating for matters at the Fair Work Commission.
