We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join a leading Australian manufacturer in a permanent fulltime role. You'll be joining a highly experienced and supportive team within a well-respected and successful business based in Blacktown. The key to your success in this role is your ability to quickly resolve machinery breakdowns, and to carry out and document pro-active preventative and predictive maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment, including sheet metal and copper pipe profiling machinery, testing equipment, compressors, pumps, conveyors, and other plant services. Collaborate with production, engineering, and external technical teams to drive and support plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives. Diagnose mechanical faults, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and machinery. Qualifications: Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent. Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general plant equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills.
