The vacancy We seek a Senior Civil Design Engineer who can competently manage full design of subdivisions. Clients will be approachable. Some clients may be less approachable. This is consulting. Technically, you need to deliver. Realistically, you need to also relate to the client and find the best approach for all. This may mean doing end to end design yourself from time to time. More likely, it's managing the design of others - from concept right through to detailed design and issue for construction. You'll have probably managed a grad or two before and you may have managed a full team. The role day to day It's a fairly flat structure here. You'll report into the Director and the PMs. You'll be working in an office of around 30 colleagues: Management, Project Managers, Engineers and Drafters, admin support and I.T. It's an engaged social group. No need to participate in every social event but as a future leader in the business, you'll want to show up to some. Your attributes We seek someone with a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and experience in the Victorian Greenfields market. Advanced design skills and ideally, both DAS (design) accreditations Get up and go! This is a friendly business. There's car parking on site. There's a skilled admin, IT and marketing team to help you do your own job with ease. A number of senior staff have young families. They understand the school holiday juggle and will support your need for balance too (and however you choose to spend that time).
