Reporting to the Programs Director, this is an exciting opportunity to support to the contribution of implementing of the Caritas Australia First Australians Program in a purpose-driven organisation. You’ll play a pivotal role in accompanying and supporting partnerships and programs that align with program priorities as part of our First Australians Program strategy. You will oversee all stages of a project cycle and collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement the First Australians Program strategic objectives. Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Contribute to the implementation of the Caritas Australia First Australians Program. Accompanying and supporting partnerships and programs that align with the First Australians Program strategy of Caritas Australia. Provide accompaniment to and capacity strengthening of partners, including undertaking partner capacity assessments. Proactively seeking new resources and opportunities for the First Australians Program and partners. Participating in and contributing to joint stakeholder forums and initiatives in line with the priorities of the First Australians Program strategy and program partners. This role can be based remotely in Australia, or either from Sydney or Melbourne where you will work a hybrid model, including two days in the office per week. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to Caritas Australia’s mission to end poverty and injustice by promoting human dignity for all, as well as a dedication to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching that guide our global efforts. They will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience: Graduate or Post Graduate qualification in one or more of the following – Development, Community Services, Educations or Arts or Associated Degrees. Demonstrated experience in working with First Nations communities and/or living in remote communities. Experience with project cycle management as well as with monitoring, evaluation and learning. Competent with the project management of grants. Demonstrated administration experience in planning and managing resources in a complex environment. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
