Boilermakers, Fitters, Riggers - Shutdown Works, Port Kembla If you are a Qualified Boilermaker or Fitter, or Ticketed Rigger who possesses experience with Maintenance Shutdowns, Mining or Heavy Plant & industry then this opportunity may be of interest to you All Shutdowns & more regular Project work are based in Port Kembla and around the Illawarra area, and without LAFA or travel allowances offered, are best suited to those living locally or within a comfortable driving distance If you are currently committed to a FIFO roster and chasing work in between, or simply want to be notified of shutdowns to fill gaps in your schedule, flexibility is offered If you meet all required criteria and would like to be considered for upcoming shutdowns or project work then please apply ASAP Upcoming Shutdowns: Coke Ovens - Mon 27 - Fri 31 Oct (5 Days) Sinterplant - Tue 11 - Thurs 13 Nov (3 Days) And many more, with peak period over November to February General Details Start times : 6am-6:30am for Shutdowns, 7am for project work Working Hours: Shutdown Shifts are 10-12 hours, Project work is 8-10 hours Durations: Shutdowns run for days to weeks Meeting Place: You meet at the contractor’s local yard, and shuttled to and from the work site as a crew Pay: Flat Rates (Can offer some OT) Boilermakers/ Fitters/ Welders: ABN $58ph / PAYG $50ph Super Riggers: ABN $54ph / PAYG $47ph Super Criteria: - Trade Qualification & Tickets, valid and relevant - Previous Shutdowns, Mining or Heavy industry experience - Working at heights (valid within 2 years) - Confined Space, desirable (valid within 2 years) - Current CV One contactable, relevant reference - Whitecard & full PPE - Own lockout locks x 2 - BlueScope Complyflow accreditation desirable To Apply: Please submit your CV and relevant Trade Qualification & Tickets
