About the opportunity The Programs and Engagement Lead (Identified) plays a key role in advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and engagement at the University, working closely with the Manager, Indigenous Employment. Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, the Programs and Engagement Lead (Identified) helps develop, implement, and monitor strategies, policies, and initiatives that support the attraction, retention, wellbeing, and professional development of Indigenous staff. This position also contributes to the delivery of the University’s Indigenous Workforce Strategy 2025–2032 and aligns with the broader One Sydney, Many People Strategy. Your key responsibilities will be to: manage the development and delivery of entry level employment programs support the University’s Indigenous Workforce Plan 2025-2032 in consultation with key internal and external stakeholders support and administer the University’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Staff Network (YURA) provide advice and guidance to internal University stakeholders to improve culturally responsive training and development opportunities. About you qualifications in a relevant field or a combination of relevant training and experience confirmation of identity – identify as Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander ability to communicate effectively and build productive relationships with a broad range of staff and stakeholders ability to maintain strict confidentiality and tact, along with well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills demonstrated experience program managing multiple project work streams experience designing and delivering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs.
