The primary accountabilities of the Senior Adviser include: Demonstrate a high level of understanding of contemporary issues, trends and practices to inform strategy including risk analysis and planning. Provide advice and support on evidence-based best practices in line with established frameworks for strategy and planning. Work with senior leadership to improve performance measurement, evaluation, and reporting practices aligned to strategy and planning. Conduct internal reviews to assess compliance or operational risks in relation to policy and planning and develop risk management strategies or action plans. Undertake research and data analysis to provide information and status updates. Assist in the preparation of reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, publications, and correspondence. Ensure timely advice to relevant staff and key stakeholders regarding strategy and planning. Plan and develop consultation session presentations and materials. Proactively build and facilitate stakeholder relationships. Assist in the management of relevant information and knowledge resources. * Maintain a sound knowledge of agency issues, business and services to stay in touch with emerging issues, business and community needs.
