Your new role: As a member of our pharmacy team, you will play an essential part in supporting Pharmacists to deliver a high-quality medicines management service that aligns with legislation and professional standards. Your contribution will directly impact patient care and safety across our facilities by; Preparing, dispensing, and supplying medicines under Pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation. Assisting in the management and distribution of controlled drugs, including record-keeping and legislated stock counts. Supporting inventory and stock management, maintaining optimal levels of medicines and consumables across Hospital and Health Service facilities. Participation in quality improvement activities and contributing to the training and mentoring of pharmacy support staff. About you: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable pharmacy support professional who is committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality medicines management within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the wider healthcare team. You will; Demonstrates a sound knowledge of medicines, including generic, trade, and chemical names, prescription interpretation, and relevant terminology, aligned with Australian pharmacy standards and Good Manufacturing Practice. Experienced in medicines inventory management, stock control, expiry monitoring, and familiar with funding schemes such as the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and Special Access Scheme. Exhibits excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and apply technology in pharmacy services.
