About the Opportunity We are seeking a Lead/Principal Transport & Installation Engineer who is recognised as an expert in fabrication, transportation, and offshore installation methods, including their design and analysis. This includes lift rigging, handling aids, and production of lift sequence workpacks. You will also be experienced in the coordination of production deliverables including calculations, specifications, procedures, and managing third party submissions and inspections. Drawing on your learnings from a successful career in oil and gas project delivery, you will be self-motivated to manage and mentor project team members to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges. This is a unique opportunity to take technical ownership of transport & installation scopes, from concept to offshore execution. About You You come with tertiary qualifications in the engineering field, with at least 8 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry. We are looking for someone with: Structural Engineering project experience with comprehensive understanding of design, analytical methods, lifting, transportation, launching, tie-in, interfacing, and production of installation and handling sequence work packs or methods, onshore fabrication, and the associated installation tools and vessels. Experienced in the management of risk during the design process to ensure safety, technical and commercial requirements are achieved within the plan. A people leader who enjoys leading and guiding teams of Engineers and Drafters and watching them achieve remarkable things. Extensive experience in detailed structural design on brownfield oil and gas projects, including producing calculations and reports. Some experience in other areas such as mechanical, piping, geotechnical, hydrodynamics, mooring/motions, installation or subsea is preferrable. Being well versed with current offshore codes and specifications, including DNV, API, ISO and AISC. Exposure with ORCAFLEX, SPACEGASS, SACS or other analytical software desirable. Experience with platforms, jackets, and topsides installations advantageous. Broad knowledge of the vessels and heavy equipment typically used to execute works, handle and deliver components, or interact with permanent works. Exciting Benefits!
