About the Role: As a Grounds and Parks Operator you’ll help keep parks, gardens, and open spaces looking their best. From mowing and brush-cutting to planting and landscaping, you’ll enjoy varied outdoor work as part of a supportive team, making a real difference to the community every day. Key Responsibilities: Carry out general gardening and landscaping duties including mowing, brush-cutting, pruning, mulching, and planting Assist with the establishment and maintenance of landscaped areas, garden beds, and turf Operate and maintain horticultural equipment, tools, and small plant safely and effectively Support landscaping projects and seasonal planting programs Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment are kept clean, safe, and in good condition Contribute to maintaining high presentation standards across parks, gardens, and open spaces Skills & Experience: Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, turf care, or horticulture (desirable) Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to operate horticultural equipment Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and in a team Good communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude Physically fit and comfortable with manual outdoor work Certificate III in Horticulture and/or MR Class Driver’s Licence (desirable but not essential) Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards Sound knowledge of WHS procedures Current C class Driver’s Licence (MR/HR licence desirable) A recent National Police Clearance ( Capable of physical manual labour and a proactive approach to change Knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices, including hazard identification What’s in it for you?
