As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of the business. Key Responsibilities Processing supplier invoices, preparing payments, and maintaining vendor records. Raising invoices, issuing statements, and following up on outstanding debts. Bank, credit card, payroll, and client account reconciliations. Assisting with contractor timesheets, expense claims, and weekly pay runs. Maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end reporting, and assisting with BAS/ATO compliance. Responding to queries from clients and contractors regarding invoices, payments, and accounts. Supporting the finance team with general accounting and administrative tasks. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Previous experience in accounts payable/receivable or an assistant accounting role (labour hire or recruitment industry experience highly regarded). Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, or similar). Intermediate Microsoft Excel and reporting skills. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with both clients and contractors.
