About the role: As the General Manager, you will have the ability to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across the business units. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support Business Unit Managers across four states, overseeing a team of 140 employees. Drive commercial outcomes including sales growth, financial performance (P&L), and operational efficiency. Oversee workforce planning, recruitment and employee engagement to foster a high-performing, collaborative culture. Build trusted relationships across the business, integrating with existing teams and aligning unit processes. Identify opportunities for business development and support national Business Development Managers in growth strategies. Govern OH&S and quality compliance. Implement best practice systems and processes, while promoting innovation and continuous improvement. Expertise in workforce planning, compliance, customer satisfaction, and service quality. Experience in streamlining systems and improving technical operations. Drove innovation projects that enhanced customer outcomes and operational efficiency. Delivered revenue growth, manage overall performance of laboratories, including budgets, compliance, and achievement of financial and operational target Operational experience To be successful in this role, you'll bring: Extensive senior management experience (7-10 Years ), ideally within a multi-site or complex operational environment. Strong commercial acumen, with proven experience in business development, sales strategy and revenue growth initiatives. Experience managing P&L performance and delivering operational excellence. A collaborative, people-focused leadership style – able to build trust quickly and inspire high-performing teams. The ability to think strategically while also being hands-on, with an entrepreneurial and solutions-focused mindset.
