The Opportunity: Reporting to the Executive Director - Corporate Services, the Chief Procurement Officer will lead procurement strategy, transform systems and processes, and uplift capability across the function. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, influence government forums, and ensure compliance while driving efficiency, innovation, and commercial outcomes. Your Role Will Encompass: Strategic leadership: Develop and implement procurement strategies, frameworks, and policies that deliver measurable value for money. Governance and compliance: Ensure all procurement activities meet legislative, probity, and regulatory obligations. Capability building: Lead and transform the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Stakeholder engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, government, and industry partners. Innovation and impact: Drive sustainable, ethical, and socially responsible procurement initiatives across V/Line. You Will Bring: Proven senior procurement leadership in a complex regulated environment (transport or infrastructure preferred). Experience delivering transformation, cost savings, and process improvements. Strong expertise in compliance, governance, and risk management. Demonstrated expertise in Victorian Government procurement frameworks and state regulatory obligations, with a proven ability to ensure all procurement activities are compliant, transparent, and aligned with legislative requirements.
