We are seeking an ASO6 Administration Officer to contribute to the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug and Sexually Transmissible Infections and Blood Borne Virus (ATODS) Policy team within the Population Health Policy Branch. The Population Health Policy Branch drives system change to improve the health and wellbeing of all Canberrans through preventive and population health policy, programs and activities. The ATODS Policy team works to ensure Canberrans have access to appropriate treatment and harm reduction services for substance use disorders, and sexually transmissible infections and blood borne viruses, as well as driving ACT Government policy on these issues. We are seeking a highly organised Administration Officer to join our friendly, driven and innovative team. We are looking for an individual with well-developed communication, interpersonal and time management skills. As an Administration officer you will provide administrative and project planning support to the ATODS Policy Unit and contribute to high-level project and/or policy work, including: Providing administrative support to the team, including secretariat support at key meetings. Preparing minutes, correspondence and other documents, as required. Liaising with various stakeholders, including government and non-government stakeholders. In consultation with section managers, undertake research and analysis and contribute to other policy or project work, as required. To be successful, you will work well in a team environment, responding quickly to changing priorities, show initiative and sound judgement, and be able to complete tasks within tight timeframes.
