Westgold Resources is offering an exciting opportunity for Exploration Geologists to join our Exploration & Growth team on a permanent 8:6 roster, working across the Murchison and Southern Goldfields regions. As a successful incumbent, you'll contribute to a diverse range of exploration programs aimed at identifying and developing new resources, while also supporting activities related to project advancement. Exploration is a key driver of Westgold's success. Our exploration team is responsible for both brownfields and greenfields exploration across our tenure. Duties will include but not be limited to; Oversee the implementation and supervision of drilling programs. Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality geological logging and sampling of all drilling activities. Validate data accuracy and integrity prior to commencing geological interpretations. Apply appropriate QA/QC protocols to maintain data quality and reliability. Compile and analyse all available geological data within project areas to identify prospective targets. Conduct geological mapping and sampling, integrating findings with existing data to generate robust exploration targets. Prepare geological plans, cross-sections, and long sections with clear and accurate interpretations. Assist in the planning, coordination, and supervision of heritage surveys. Ensure all exploration activities comply with heritage and environmental requirements. Communicate heritage and environmental obligations clearly to team members and contractors prior to field activities. Prepare and deliver various reports as required, including geological, weekly, monthly, completion and summary reports. What do I need?: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geology from a recognized tertiary institution A valid WA 'C' class manual driver's license Foundational GIS skills, with experience using QGIS and MapInfo Familiarity with 3D geological modelling software such as Leapfrog or Micromine Hands-on experience supervising drill rigs (Diamond, Reverse Circulation, Air Core) Strong capabilities in exploration data collection, interpretation, and analysis Effective oral and written communication skills, including technical reporting Proven ability to deliver projects within set timeframes Demonstrated strengths in planning, analysis, report writing, and stakeholder communication High-level administrative skills, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team The Westgold Offer A range of benefits including: A permanent full-time position at a successful gold producer Performance based bonus Group salary continuous insurance A health and wellness allowance Health insurance discount A range of Family and Medical leave policies that includes IVF, surrogacy and adoption.
