ECMS is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Risk, Compliance and OHS Business Partner to join our dedicated team. This position is central to building and maintaining a safe, supportive, and high-quality environment for both children and staff across our services. You’ll act as a trusted advisor across the organisation, guiding leaders and teams in matters of child safety, compliance, workplace health and safety, and continuous improvement. With a strong focus on quality systems, reporting, and reflective practice, you’ll lead initiatives that strengthen our culture of accountability, transparency, and learning. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes by leading investigations into child safety and workplace incidents, providing clear recommendations, and ensuring alignment with legislative and regulatory requirements. This position is full time; however, part time may be explored for the right candidate. The position boasts flexible working hours and work from home options. Quality Improvement Manage the implementation and maintenance of quality improvement systems across ECMS, including those relating to child safety and risk. Through the critical analysis of information, identify systemic issues and best practice across ECMS to implement system improvements to reduce risk. Ensure ECMS meet all regulatory reporting requirements pertaining to serious incidents and legislative compliance. Child Safety and Investigations Provide guidance, support and coaching across the organisation in relation to child wellbeing, actively promoting a culture of child safety throughout the organisation. Facilitate the response to serious child safety incidents, particularly those that require reporting to regulatory authorities such Reportable Conduct matters, Worksafe and the Department of Education. Conduct internal investigations and reviews across the organisation while adhering to principles of procedural fairness and child inclusion. Work Health and Safety Partner with leaders to assess, manage, and mitigate WHS risks and compliance obligations. Support the implementation of WHS systems, incident reporting, and investigations. Promote a culture of both physical and psychological safety for all staff. More about you Professional experience in investigations, with relevant qualifications in child safety, ECE, OHS, social work or a related discipline. Experience in risk assessment and mitigation in relation to child safety and wellbeing concerns. Experience in the coordination of quality assurance programs in either the community service sector or education environment. Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills, particularly synthesising information from diverse sources and drawing out implications for practice and improvement.
