SASH Gold Coast is the first integrated specialist and 24/7 emergency hospital of its type on the Gold Coast - a brand-new, purpose-built facility conveniently located in Robina. We provide multidisciplinary veterinary hospital services including 5 days a week specialist Surgery services to pets and residents of the Gold Coast, NSW North Coast, and surrounds. Nurses are at the heart of our team, and we would not be able to do what we do without our amazing nurse team. Our growing Surgical Team is seeking a Surgery Nurse to join us in a full time position working alongside 3 experienced, positive and collaborative specialist surgeons. About our Surgery Nurses Our Surgery Nurses are an integral part of running the Surgery department. These nurses assist with a wide variety of cases, from admission through to recovery. We are looking for passionate, like-minded nurses who are excited by being challenged and who want to learn from some of the best in the industry. SASH places a huge emphasis on the continuous training and development of our people and our nursing team is no exception, we will ensure you have: A supportive buddy system to see you through your onboarding and initial stages within the department. Varied and interesting case load and opportunity to work with and learn from industry leading specialists from multiple disciplines Working with a full-time anaesthetist Access to cutting edge monitoring and diagnostic equipment including CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, arthroscopy and laparoscopy Who we are looking for: Ability to work the hours between 7am & 7pm across a four day working week with occasional on call availability Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Veterinary Technician Degree 1 year specialist experience or multiple years GP experience is desired Experience and/or strong interest in specialist surgical nursing Desire to work with a fun dynamic team and a willingness to learn and provide gold standard patient care. While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a positive and compatible attitude. What’s in it for you?
