About the Opportunity The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow will perform research that contributes to ANSTO Projects by carrying out laboratory-based experimental work and producing scientific reports and publications. This role supports food provenance research through practical laboratory-based skills, with a strong emphasis on statistical analysis, modelling, and database development. The successful candidate will apply advanced statistical techniques and develop predictive models to interpret datasets, helping to trace food origins and support translational science outcomes. Experience in multivariate analysis, geospatial modelling, or machine learning approaches will be highly valued. Translate research ideas into impactful outcomes by exploring solutions, evaluating alternatives, and selecting optimal approaches to deliver high-quality scientific outputs aligned with project goals. Conduct laboratory-based experimental work and undertake relevant training to ensure the delivery of rigorous and reproducible research results. Apply advanced statistical and modelling techniques to analyse complex datasets, develop predictive frameworks, and support evidence-based conclusions in food provenance research. Collaborate closely with the project lead and the broader food provenance team to drive progress, share insights, and contribute to a cohesive and innovative research environment. Publish scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals and actively build professional networks with researchers and industry partners at local, national, and international levels.
