We are currently seeking a qualified Cabinetmaker to work on a Full-time basis to join our team of professionals immediately. The Role You will be the responsible for all aspects of cabinetry work on site, including cut, shape, assemble, set up and general repairs/maintenance. Your daily responsibilities will include but not limited to: · Studies and works from detailed drawings. From the drawings completes all cabinetry work. · Makes a detailed cutting list of all the individual sections of the job and gets all the materials together. · Cuts and manufactures all of the required components to complete the job. · Assembles cabinets using nail guns and drills. · Matches materials for colour, grain, or texture. · Sets up and operates variety of various hand tools and woodworking machines. · Assemble parts to form sections of furniture and completed articles. · Drives nails or other fasteners into joints to reinforce joints. Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing. · Applies masonite, formica, and vinyl surfacing materials. · Brushes, or spray assembled articles with protective or decorative material. · Installs hardware. · Makes fittings with required fine detail. · Discuss projects with customers and draw up detailed specifications. Work Experience and Skills · Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably 3 years · Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and power tools; · Demonstrated positive attitude and teamwork abilities; · Able to work efficiently with and without supervision; · Well versed in maintenance, cleaning and debris removal tasks.
