About the role: Reporting directly to the Head of Transport, the Transport Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of national transport operations, to ensure efficient and timely deliveries across the network. This role will be responsible for overseeing transport planners, managing capacity planning, and ensuring compliance with internal processes and external regulations. About you, and your background: Experience in driving operational excellence, and consistently delivering high levels of performance across safety, service, cost, and efficiency. Extensive background in managing the daily execution of inbound and outbound transport activities Ability and an astuteness in identifying inefficiencies in daily transport operations, and being responsible for developing strategies for improvement A track record and ability to think on your feet, using initiative when it comes to problem-solving, and have a proactive and strategic approach to overcoming and resolving operational issues In-depth knowledge of CoR legislation and transport safety standards Proven ability to lead and mentor, and foster a high performing culture using your strong 'lead from the front' managerial skills About the company: A leading global retailer and household name.
