We're currently looking for a Full-Time Oncology Nurse , who is passionate about providing exception care to patients during their SASH journey. About the Role As an Oncology Nurse at SASH, you'll play a vital role in the care and treatment of pets diagnosed with cancer. Working closely with our caring and dedicated team of Medical Oncology specialists, you'll support with cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, electrochemotherapy and immunotherapy, monitoring patients and side effects, and providing compassionate support to both pets and their owners. To learn more about our Oncology team please click on the link below: https://sashvets.com/services/medicaloncology/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_GugubxuLE About You: A keen interest in Medical Oncology and specialist nursing, with a desire to work closely with patients throughout their entire SASH journey Knowledge and understanding of basic medical oncological disease and associated terminology Understanding of the importance of safe chemotherapy handling and administrative protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff Excellent venepuncture skills and confidence with anaesthesia and monitoring sedation Demonstrated ability to anticipate and prepare what may be required when assisting with procedures Confidence to manage and prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment Exceptional written and verbal communication skills To be considered for this position, applicants must have: Completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing A minimum of 2 years, full-time experience as a qualified vet nurse Why SASH?
