DevEx Team Lead - Global Fintech - Sydney Who they are A global fintech powerhouse is looking for a DevEx Team Lead to drive software development excellence across their APAC engineering teams. This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone who enjoys solving deep technical problems while mentoring engineers and shaping their code bae, internal tooling, CI/CD, and build systems at scale. The role You'll lead a small APAC team while staying deeply technical. you will build tools, & refinine pipelines. You will be a key figure in standardising the development practice as the company look to be more globally aligned across all their offices. You must have experience leading successful DevEx initiatives to be considered for this role. Key responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of 2-3 engineers Partner with local engineering teams to identify workflow pain points and roll out solutions Optimise build performance across languages (Python, C++, C#) Own and improve core build systems and containerised workflows (Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) Design and deliver scalable CI/CD pipelines, build tooling, and developer workflows Balance proactive improvements with day-to-day support needs What you'll bring: Experience in DevEx People Management/Leadership experience Strong coding skills in Python (plus familiarity with C++ or C#) Deep understanding of CI/CD systems and development tooling Hands-on experience with build systems, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, Jenkins, etc. Collaborative mindset and experience working across global teams Why join?
